Studio Jeroen Wand

From the grayish white of the plaster, via the bright white of the drawing paper, to the transparency of the chalk paper; the gradient of this lamp stems purely from its material. The opaque and heavy white eventually turns into a fragile transparency. From bottom to top, the lamp becomes lighter and more and more absent until the immateriality of light itself takes over.

The material is highly delicate; every touch will leave a mark, an imperfection. However, the light needs to be touched in order to be used and therefore the user creates a new gradient.

All the necessary electronics are pressed within the layers of the paper.
